Sponsorship

Thirty dollars ($30) a month provides basic necessities for one nun living in exile. The sponsorship program supports nearly 600 nuns living in six different nunneries in North India — Geden Choeling, Tilokpur, Dolma Ling, Shugsep, Sakya Nuns Institute, and Sherap Choeling — as well as numerous nuns living on their own and in retreat.

Sponsors are requested to commit to at least one year and to choose one of the following payment plans: quarterly ($90), semi-annually ($180), and annually ($360). You will receive a reminder notice one month prior to your next payment. If you are paying with a credit card, you may choose to have your payments automatically deducted.

You will receive a sponsorship packet with a photo bio of your nun 6-9 weeks after your first payment. You may request to sponsor a nun at a specific nunnery if you feel a particular connection to one. Sponsors are welcome to correspond with their nun.
