Live Wire Spirit - Barbara Brown is a California architect who enjoys creating Buddha-inspired wire sculptures as a form of meditation and personal practice. For her, these whimsical figures come alive as they are transformed from the spool of wire, spreading a little joy to others, while reminding us to keep lightness in our hearts. 50% of all proceeds from sales of these sculptures are donated to the Tibetan Nuns Project. These sculptures are available in select California Bay Area galleries and Buddhist bookshops, as well as at the artist's website www.livewirespirit.com.

(Mandala](http://foothillspublishing.com/2009/id69.htm) by Diana Woodcock, the 14th book in FootHills Poets on Peace Series.

Diana Woodcock’s poetry circumnavigates the globe as if circling a mandala, from Flagstaf to Lhasa, Cairo to Macau, always keeping faith with the work of a scrupulous witness, moral compass firmly in hand, “balancing—always balancing, ready to be erased,” yet dancing and singing a bridge into being across the airy space.

Gregory Donovan, author of Calling His Children Home

Dedicated to the Tibetans, Diana Woodcock's collection of poems reminds us of the immensity of this world. Addressing both violence and beauty, the collection's compelling and edgy terrain lingers— like the “golden specks of sunlight…on timbrel bells”—from her poem “Year of Lhasa.”
