100 WOMEN X $100 = 100 EMPOWERED VOICES

The Tibetan Nuns Project is asking 100 women to donate $100 so that 100 nuns can attend a month-long debating session and take a step closer to educational equality. 100% of your donation will cover a nun's expenses so she can attend this important session, once only available to monks.

For centuries, Tibetan monks have held an annual month-long debating session called Jang Gonchoe, an integral part of their Buddhist practice. The practice of debate joins logical thinking with a deeper understanding of Buddhist philosophy. It is an essential part of monastic education in the Tibetan tradition.

You can help the nuns find their voices

Be one of 100 WOMEN committed to educational equality for these refugee nuns by donating $100 today. Every year the debate session takes place in the fall, starting late September through late October. The 2011 Jang Gonchoe is being held from September 20 through October 20th in southern India at Jangchub Choeling.

A gift of $100 from 100 women covers the annual cost of Jang Gonchoe of $10,000, making educational equality a reality.

If you'd like to send a check, please make payable to the Tibetan Nuns Project, 619 Western Avenue #22, Seattle, WA 98104. Please mark on your check "100 WOMEN." Or donate by calling our Seattle office at 206-652-8901.
